Casa Rondena Winery is Eric and my most favorite place in the city. It is a rare vineyard experience hidden away in
Albuquerque’s serene North Valley in the Village of Los Ranchos. The winery was established in late 1995 with the first plantings in 1990 by vinter/architect John Calvin and his two young sons. The winery welcomes visitors to their exquisite location featuring the Andalusian, southern Mediterranean style of architecture for which Mr. Calvin and the winery are both so well recognized.
If it is your first time, we recommend you make an afternoon of your visit to Casa Rondena. Be sure to start off in the Tasting Room and sample several of the winery’s award winning wines including our personal favorites, 1629 and Serenade. Browse the newly expanded gift shop that features wines, delicious foods and gifts.
If you are like Eric and me, you will make Casa Rondena a special part of your lives by becoming members of the winery. When you become a member of the winery, you become part of the Casa Rondena family. The winery offers two memberships that allow you to enjoy the winery, the wine, special events and discounts. We personally recommend the 1629 Private Club for an exclusive experience that features access to the Calvin’s former personal residence they have opened to members. Enjoy complimentary wine tastings for two, Tapas served on the patio, art exhibitions in the Grand Sala, and a warm fireplace during the colder winter months. In addition you will have exclusive invitations to “member only” events including parties, musical performances, barrel tastings, dinners, advance purchases of wines and more.
We encourage you to discover the enchantment and tradition of Casa Rondena Winery.
